Red Rompers and Fall Feelings

Red Rompers and Fall Feelings

I know autumn isn’t here yet, but when we were getting 70 degree weather in NYC, I was ready to whip out the boots, sweaters, and pumpkin spice lattes.

In order to sate my desire for Fall without going too insane (my boyfriend and best friends would call me crazy if I even suggested to wear my Uggs), I paired this cute red romper from Abercrombie and Fitch with an adorable and super comfy grey cardigan from Lilly Pulitzer, and a plethora of gold jewelry and gold sandals from Jack Rogers.

Rompers have been and will always be my go-to for when I want create the illusion of wearing a dress. I love the above the knee length, sundresses, but i find it easier to be on the move when I am wearing pants. Unfortunately, pants are not always possible in the hot summer heat of NYC, and sometimes, I’m just not feeling shorts or the effort of making sure my dress stays down!

This is when rompers come in and saves the day. In a perfect romper, the convenience and comfort of pants is paired with the stylishness of dresses.

As for this specific red romper from Abercrombie and Fitch, there are two reasons why I love this romper so much: 1) it is super comfy, and 2) it is red!

Usually, rompers are super comfy 9 times out of 10. Most are made with a soft material (viscose, elastane, cotton, etc.). This romper is made up of a viscose and elastane blend. A blend with those two materials screams “pajamas I can wear outside”.

If you consider comfort to be the #1 factor in your personal style, pay specific attention to the material. Not everything has to be a sweatshirt and sweatpants to be comfortable!

Also, pay attention to key words containing either the material (most common phrase used will be “Silk Top”, etc.) or the word “knit” as opposed to “woven” (knit tops and bottoms are stretchy and comfy, whereas woven is more constricting).

Lastly, red is a color that I find super versatile. There are few very colors that clash against red, and each unique pairing with red will give off a very different vibe. Whereas the grey screams warm and cozy, the gold screams bold and brilliant.

I hope y’all loved this post!
See you soon!
