Lace, Leather, and Embroidered Fringe Tops

Lace, Leather, and Embroidered Fringe Tops

This look is something that is a little bit outside my comfort zone.

I’ve been challenging myself to put together unique looks and outfits for y’all that mix together fun fabrics and different textures that look different than the basic blouse, jeans, and boots Fall look that every fashion blogger loves.

Don’t get me wrong; there’s nothing wrong with simplistic looks, and often times, they are my go-to. The reason that this look is so special to me is because I am genuinely such a basic girl and being able to wear a look like this, love it and pull it off is pretty incredible.

The main feature of this look is this top (called El Dorado) from Vici. I discovered this site through another fashion blogger I follow on Instagram and ever since then, I’ve been in love with their clothes! One of my favorite sweaters for the season is from their line, and I definitely recommend checking them out. This top is in a tunic style with fringes along the edges. The embroidery on this stop is so beautiful and reminds me of a toned-down aztec print. I paired this top with a lace bralette from Victoria’s Secret that just peeks out from underneath. I love the stark contrast of the black lace against the pale gray of the tunic.

This top is currently sold out, but I am going to link some alternatives below for y’all to scroll through and shop.

I paired this look with some white jeans from Good American to keep me warm; what I love about this top is that I can wear it with either long pants (jeans or leggings) or short pants or a skirt. I can even wear it as a dress if I choose to since I’m short in height. The white jeans with gray perfectly balances out the black in the lace and the jacket. A pair of blue denim jeans would have given this look a more classic fall look, so I love that the white jeans are giving such a nice contrast in colors for a more unique look.

This outfit was topped off with this super warm and comfortable faux leather jacket from JustFab that I got last winter. I used to never own a pair of leather jacket until very recently. When I first moved to NYC, I realized that a leather jacket is a perfect Fall jacket when the weather is a little bit warmer and not cold enough to warrant wearing a jacket that is any warmer. I also love these black leather boots, and they tie the look together perfect to provide balance overall!

I hope you all enjoyed this outfit! It’s a little bit unconventional, but that is what I’m aiming for!
Let me know what jackets y’all are wearing this Fall!
